The family of John Wayne is sad to announce the passing of his daughter

The Screen Actors Guild has released the following statement from the
family of John Wayne.

The family of John Wayne is sad to announce the passing of his daughter
Mary Antonia "Toni" Wayne/LaCava'.

Mrs. LaCava passed away on 6 December 2000. At the families request the
time, place, and cause of her death is being with held along with the
funeral and burial arrangements. The Wayne family did release the following
statement.

 "We are deeply saddened by the passing of our Sister. She lived her life
wanting to help others and to ease their suffering. All of us and each of
those she helped know that she accomplished that goal."

Those of us who are fans of the Duke never got to really see any of his
children, (with of course the exception of Patrick and Ethan.) but this loss
saddens us as well. I am glad that she and the family got their wish and she
was laid to rest peacefully and quietly. Our prayers and hope go out to
them.
